The Art of Preparation

This handbag was purchased more than five years ago for the entrepreneur in me. I saw it and knew that I wanted it solely for the purpose of my business. At the time of purchase, my desire was to be a fashion designer. I envisioned making business moves with this bag, conducting business deals. I did not know when I was going to start my business, but I knew one day it was going to happen. Purchasing this bag was one of my ways I prepared for my future, my success.

If you have knowledge or believe in the laws of attraction, you know that the art of preparation takes different forms. For example, going into a store and seeing a beautiful painting. At the time, you could be moving into your personal space or may not have a space at all, but you buy the painting with plans of hanging it on a wall in your home one day. You continue to purchase things for your place to make it special because you have a vision of what you want your place to look like.

This bag was a gift to myself before I started my business. The moral of the story is not about material things, but believing and having a positive idea, and preparing to receive your blessings. To see the results of your hard work and efforts. This can be done by creating vision boards, writing it down on a piece of paper, or simply taking an active approach towards your goals (i.e. the purchase of my bag). When I purchased the bag, it symbolized the entrepreneur I am today. Now, when I open it to retrieve business documents, I am reminded of how far I have come.  I am also reminded of the new goals I have set to achieve with this bag in-hand when I conduct new business deals to expand my brand. You  must prepare yourself for your success; action plans in motion.

When you prepare for your future, in the present, you are sowing seeds of faith/belief to reap rewards of achievement/personal success. Some call it laws of attraction, and me, the art of preparation.
